Holts Tours is the leading history and battlefield tour company in the UK. For more than 30 years we have organised history tours and battlefield study tours covering military and historical events around the world.

Our battlefield tours explore the history, strategy and tactics of the battle as well as the scenery and culture of the country. On a personal level we frequently arrange special detours for pilgrimage visits to the war graves of family members.

All Holts battlefield tours are led by experienced tour managers and accompanied by outstanding historians or battlefield guides. They all have military or academic backgrounds and many, such as Major Gordon Corrigan MBE and Professor Richard Holmes CBE, have written critically acclaimed books or presented television programmes.

Family History
Interest in genealogy television programmes like Who Do You Think You Are? is inspiring people to research their family history and build their family tree. People want to know more about the history of wars that family members fought in, see the actual battlefields and visit a memorial or war grave and put their relative's personal story into context.
