Tours to Normandy
Normandy is a beautiful region of France which is literally an open-air museum where the D-Day Landings and the Battle of Normandy took place. There are 50 miles of historic coastline starting at Sword Beach, going through Juno Beach, Gold Beach, Omaha Beach and all the way up to Utah Beach.

The Musée de la Batterie de Merville is set in casemate No.1 of the Merville coastal battery. It retraces the conditions and unfolds the operation carried out by the British 6th Airborne Division who held the eastern flank of the Landing Beaches.
The Pegasus Memorial museum is dedicated to the British 6th Airborne Division and tells the story of how they held the eastern flank of the Landing Beaches. It features the first bridge liberated on the French mainland - Pegasus Bridge as well as authentic objects and emotive souvenirs. A model of a glider from that period is also in the museum grounds.
The Arromanches 360 degree cinema with 9 screens showing an outstanding film "The Price of Freedom". There is a mixture of original pictures of the D-Day Landings and of Normandy as it is today. The cinema is situated on the hill overlooking the artificial Mulberry Harbour.
The Musée du Débarquement - Landings Museum is based in Arromanches in front of the actual artificial harbour (Mulberry B). The museum is devoted to the incredible feat of technology achieved by the British who prefabricated two artificial ports (Mulberry A & Mulberry B) in England and towed them into place at 5mph. The museum has a large scale model of the harbour as well as a video show.
Inland is the city of Bayeux, with its famous Tapestry and also the museum of the Battle of Normandy and the large Commonwealth Cemetery.
The Mémorial de Caen is dedicated to Peace and tells the story from 1919 when the seeds started to be sown for WW2, through the dark years for France during the occupation, the war on all fronts for the Allies to D-Day and the Battle of Normandy.
The City of Caen is the City of William the Conqueror and sites worth visiting include the Ducal Castle and the Men’s and Ladies Abbeys.
Pointe du Hoc was one of the strongholds in the German fortification dominating the sea because of its vertical cliffs. It is topped by a heavy gun battery protected by concrete bunkers and the scene of the heroic exploits of Colonel Rudder’s Rangers.
The American Cemetery at Colleville-sur-Mer is a poignant reminder of the sacrifice that the American people made to help secure the future of Europe. It overlooks Omaha Beach and contains 9,387 perfectly aligned white crosses, a memorial and a chapel.
The Airborne Troops Museum at Saint-Mere-Église tells the story of the Longest Day through the operations carried out by the American 82nd and 101st Airborne Division.
